Along with our partners, we have enjoyed working with thousands of ministries over the years. During that time we’ve made plenty of mistakes and learned some important lessons and principles along the way. Everything we’ve learned, we offer to you. Further, because there is much to know, we are still in a learning process and invite you to be a part of our listening and learning community. A few examples of ways we might be able to serve you in your giving are:

Knowledge:
As we travel and see God’s work worldwide, we offer knowledge resources and program staff willing to share what we’re learning. More specifically, we can provide you with the following:

• Onsite Visit:  You are welcome to come to our offices or our partners, to observe grant processes, meet ministry partners, or talk with foundation staff.
• Principles of Strategic Giving:   We value the importance of being strategic and leveraged in our giving.  Over the years, we have established several principles to aid us in this regard. We understand that these methods are not the only ones available, but we hope you may find them to be of use in your giving journey.
• The Project Book: In order to dynamically provide access to the ministries with which we partner, we have created a web-based collection of searchable proposals that have been approved and recommended by professional foundation staff as effective giving opportunities.
• Tools:  Examples of tools that are freely available include: World trends documents, considerations for starting a foundation, examples of giving plans, foundation charters, grant making “work flows”, due diligence process, job descriptions for hiring staff, etc.  

Experiences:
One of the best ways to get excited about and become involved in what God is doing in the world is to see it first-hand.  Whether you go on a trip or attend a conference, we hope to provide you with opportunities that will challenge you in your giving.

• Maclellan & Sherpa "family" Trips: Throughout each year, we travel to various countries to develop relationships with ministries and to see God’s hand in a region.  We are happy to bring other givers on these trips with the hope that the trips will expand and stretch your vision, as they do ours.
• Briefings & Convening Events: We know that God is working in amazing ways all over the globe, but sometimes it is a bit difficult to grasp the overall picture.  To help gain perspective, Global Briefings and smaller convening events (which are sometimes hosted by our peers) will assemble a few world-class ministries to present their vision for their sphere of influence, as well as opportunities for givers to be involved.
• Generous Giving Conferences: If you are interested in learning more about biblical principles of Christian stewardship, then a Generous Giving Conference may be the place for you. The events are centered on Bible teaching and Christian fellowship, seeking to affirm the spiritual calling of those who have the eagerness and capacity for generosity.

Community & Relationships:
Through developing a community of generosity, we hope to connect givers’ passions to opportunities, ministry leaders, and peers in order to come alongside those seeking to experience the joy of giving.  This community is facilitated through the following:

• Peer Community:  By connecting with other givers through building relationships, networking, mutual learning, and collaboration, we have the potential to do much more for the Kingdom than any one of us alone could do.  In addition, we can be a support and encouragement to one another as we seek to be good stewards of the resources God has given us.
• Access to Expertise: If you are unsure of where and how to give, our team can help you determine where your passions lie and what God may have in store for you as you discover the joy of giving.  Once you have determined your giving passions and direction, we can connect you to a network of experts to help you meet your giving needs.
• Ministry Leaders: Through the relationships we have formed over decades of work across the globe, we and our partnering foundations can provide access to thousands of trusted and top level ministry leaders, many of whom may align very well with your giving interests & passions.
