As an aid for the study of biblical stewardship, we offer a collection of short essays that examine stewardship themes in each of book of the Bible. These essays discuss major theological concerns for particular biblical writers and their application in the arena of generosity. Themes are listed in “redemptive-historical” order, from Genesis to Revelation. Alternatively, view this list alphabetically. At the bottom of each essay is a list of related passages from various biblical books to enhance your study. Read them alongside our Bible study notes.
These short essays are not intended to be comprehensive explanations of the message of the biblical books. Rather, the themes are designed to provide those studying the Bible with one aspect of the “big picture” of the message of an entire book, especially as it relates to matters of stewardship and generosity. The list of related passages will point the reader to the even “bigger picture” in the whole Bible. |
